3. Information the App Accesses Locally

Although ROTA does not collect or transmit any information, it requires access to certain device features to function properly. These permissions are used locally only — data never leaves your device.

a. Camera Access

Used for recording and capturing front and rear camera video and photos.

Purpose: Dual-camera recording and photo capture.

Data use: Processed and stored only on your device.

No video or image data is uploaded or shared.

b. Microphone Access

Used only when the user enables “Record Audio” to include sound in recordings.

Purpose: To record sound within your videos.

Data use: Stored locally within the recorded video file.

Not transmitted to any server.

c. Location Access

Used for navigation and speed overlay features.

Purpose: Display your route, current speed, and provide navigation assistance.

Data use: Processed on-device only using Apple’s Core Location framework.

Location data is not stored or shared after use.

d. Photos and Videos (Photo Library Access)

Used to save photos and videos created with the app.

Purpose: To allow you to keep your own recordings.

The app only writes new photos/videos; it does not read, scan, or upload existing content.

e. Subscription and Purchases (StoreKit)

If you choose to subscribe to Premium features, the App uses Apple’s StoreKit framework.

All payment information is handled by Apple — we never have access to your payment method or Apple ID.

We only receive anonymous subscription status (active/inactive).

4. No Tracking

ROTA does not track users across apps, websites, or services.
We do not use advertising identifiers or profiling of any kind.

5. Data Retention

The app does not retain or transmit user data.
All data (such as recorded videos, photos, and navigation data) stays on your device and can be deleted at any time by removing the app or its files.

6. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate or rely on any external SDKs or analytics tools.
All frameworks used are developed by Apple Inc. and operate under Apple’s privacy policies.

7. Your Rights and Control

Because no user data is collected or stored by ROTA, there is no data to access, correct, or delete on our servers.
You have complete control of your content within your device and can delete it anytime via the Photos app or by uninstalling the app.

8. Children’s Privacy

ROTA is designed for general use and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or applicable local age thresholds).

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The latest version will always be available at the app’s official website.
